Description

A humic feed additive is a concentrated water-soluble feed-grade humate in a granulated crystalline form. It can be fed to livestock (swine, poultry, and cattle) or used as a drinking water additive to stimulate the immune system.

It stabilizes the intestinal flora by fixating toxins and harmful substances in the animal feed and forms a protective film on the surface of the gastrointestinal mucous membrane, enhancing the animal's resistance to diseases. Significantly increases animals' appetite, and with it, feed uptake. Humic substances improve feed conversion and ultimately promote weight gain.

Before the triumph of industrial livestock breeding, which resulted in a vast rise of animal diseases, and thus, the need for antibiotics, humic substances were the preeminent compounds in animal feeding and housing. Used as animal feedstuff, supplements, and stable beddings, humic substances prevent diseases, absorb toxins and stenches, overall reducing the need for medication.

PEAT BASED fulvic and humic acids products provide substantial benefits for animal health, reduce the need for antibiotics and substantially improve stable hygiene. We offer sustainable solutions for smart livestock farming: from animal breeding to feedstuff and veterinary medicine - we know how to help You. We are passionate about the science in effect behind humic substances, and we're glad to help you understand how You and Your animals can benefit from it.

BENEFITS

Lowland peat source allows the use of gentle manufacturing technology in order to maintain the product's biological activity and significantly lowers the cost of the products.

A humic feed additive is classified as non-toxic when orally applied to warm-blooded animals. There are no evident side effects, and there are no known allergies or resistance in the case of regular oral application. Because of its basic chemical structure, humic feed supplement is neither teratogenic nor mutagenic. It also does not have any carcinogenic or embryotoxic properties. As there is not a high resorption rate in the gastrointestinal tract, no waiting times need to be observed after oral application. In long-term tests (120 days) with a prophylactic application of different doses of humic additives for calves and cattle, body mass increased between 4% and 10% compared with the control groups.

  • Can be used as an alternative to antibiotic growth promoters.
  • Increases productivity of livestock, poultry, and fish.
  • Improves the quality of meat, eggs, milk, and wool, increasing profitability in animal husbandry, poultry farming, and fish breeding.
  • Decrease morbidity and mortality. Increases stress resistance.
  • Provides antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory action. Allows reducing or completely rejecting the application of antibiotics through the stimulation of the immune system.
  • Reduces the withdrawal period of antibiotics residues from the body of animals, birds, and fish which makes it possible to obtain products suitable for sale.
  • Improves body metabolism. Enhances calcium and trace nutrients fixation.
  • Improves biochemical blood values within normal limits and provides a hepatoprotective effect.
  • Increases value of fecal masses for composting and subsequent use as an organic fertilizer due to humic acid content.
  • Regulates gastrointestinal tract function. Stimulates the development of intestinal villi. Activates the processes of adsorption and assimilation of feed components. Decreases feed conversion rate.
  • Prevents the penetration of coccidiostatic ionophores into the body through the intestinal wall.
  • Reduces the release of ammonia from litter and manure due to higher digestibility of protein and nitrogen from the feed.

test-rest

All humic substances based products by PEAT BASED LLC are tested according to the HPTA method (ISO 19822:2018) to determine the content of humic and hydrophobic fulvic acids. Most of the suppliers are using the more simple "colorimetric" method for the determination of humic and fulvic acid content, but it shows higher results and is not suited to identify non-humic substances like lignosulfonates. In compliance with the highest quality standards PEAT BASED LLC has chosen the currently best analysis standard for the determination of humic and fulvic acids with regard to its quality control.
